Bring a light jacket...

Fall is not even here yet, says Mr. Calendar. The early bird gets the selvage, so I made sure to get a little ahead of myself and plan now for the future.

Here's how I plan to protect myself from the elements this Fall. Some new pieces, some classics.

Nice looking jacket, I'm curious to know what the fit is like and how warm it would be. The green chambray looks to be a winner as well.

If you see the jacket up close and personal please give a review on it.

JCG: The jacket is really superb. The shade of green is perfect. The inside quilting makes it a perfect fall, into late fall, jacket for my neck of the woods. It's heavier than I thought it would be.

Being that you're in Canada (TO?), you may get a little less wear out of this into late Fall, but its still a key piece for the season, IMO. The oilcloth makes it seem like a Barbour.

The fit is what you'd expect from J Crew jackets these days. Not a tent, but not super slim either. A bit on the slim side, just like I like it.

Hope you get the chance to check this out.

Heya JB, thanks for the review. My PS called last week to offer me 20% off and free shipping. So I jumped off my wallet and ordered the coat. I wanted something new and different to wear. Sounds like this jacket will fit the bill nicely.

For the really cold days I have a down puffer jacket. I also have a suede car coat in camel and a smooth one in black leather so this should rotate in nicely.

Good to know it's like a Barbour. I had one in the 90s and wore it for years till I finally grew tired of the black watch plaid.

Once again thanks for the review and your blog.
