Yeah, same thing happened to me with a pair I bought from them back in '98. They had a rubber sole, but the welt came unglued from the sole where the foot flexed.
A similar thing happened to me this summer at a wedding. I was walking through a winery parking lot and the heel of one of my shoes just fell off. I hobbled around for a bit and when we sat down for the reception I grabbed my butter knife and pried the other one off just so I could dance w/out looking like an idiot -- due to the shoes.
